Founder's Journey
The journey of Blake Allen
BRC Roofing and Cladding Australia was established in 2013 by Blake Allen. Apprenticed at age 16, Blake has spent 15 years working across the entire roofing sector, gaining vital industry knowledge, network and management skills.
This artwork below, by Kayleb Waters-Sampson, tells of Blake’s Culture and his striving for success, as well as his commitment to building strong communities and people.
The circles and paths reflect his home, his journey and the people special to him who have supported him on it. The Goanna is the totem of his Wiradjuri people. The Whale is the totem of where he now lives and has been accepted. The Eagle footprints show his path from his country to provide for his family and community and to give opportunities to young people. The Emu footprints represent his totem and his kinship and to live those same values as that Emu in caring for his kids, his country and determination to success.
The designs and patterns are drawn from traditional art of the Gomeroi and Wiradjuri people depicting their Country and its stories. The colours show Blake’s journey from the red dirt country to the salt water.
